JAM/MVA

Welcome to JAM/MVA Motor Vehicle Accident Reconstruction Service, Inc!

JAM/MVA, Inc., began as (d/b/a) in 1985 and when I retired from the Dallas Police Department in December 1994, the business was incorporated and now operates as a licensed private investigative agency, State License Number A-07875. The company is insured as required by law, including errors and omissions coverage.

Our multi-disciplined team deals with ground vehicle collisions involving cars, SUVs, buses, trucks, motorcycles, and pedestrians. Additionally, we provide other specialized services that include:

  • Crash Data Retrieval System – ‘black-box’ downloads (year, make and model dependent).
  • Commercial vehicle inspections and brake performance per axle analysis.
  • Electronic Control Module (ECM) data extraction and reports (Detroit, Mercedes Benz and Caterpillar power units only).
  • Forensic scene mapping/documentation.
  • CAD diagrams and clear overlays plotted up to 36-inch in width.
  • Private investigative functions pertaining to the case matter.
  • HVE-2-D Simulation Modeling and 3-D Animation.
  • Assistance in identifying experts in related fields.
  • Access to our Accident Investigation/Reconstruction library and information databases.
  • Provide guest speakers/instructors for accident investigative training and safety programs.

Our client base includes plaintiff and defense law firms, insurance and claim adjusting companies, transportation companies, city, county and state governments and law enforcement agencies, District Attorney Offices and the U.S. Department of Justice. We attempt to work closely with our clients and ethically render case conclusions after careful evaluation and analysis of the data provided and/or obtained through various tasks. In most cases, conclusions and opinions are peer reviewed by two or more associates.

The majority of the associates of JAM/MVA, Inc., are either current or retired law enforcement officers and most have previously qualified in various courts as an expert witness in the field of accident investigation/reconstruction. One associate, Dave Brown, is a licensed P.E. who has been previously qualified in several Federal courts.
